Meet China Primary School’s Dean of Students, Elizabeth Ridgeway

Meet China Primary School’s Dean of Students, Elizabeth Ridgeway!

What was your greatest memory from last school year? My favorite memory of last year was the winter concert. We had to reschedule twice, but the third time was the charm! It was a great show that the students performed beautifully in front of their families. It was so special to see our students demonstrating what they had learned in front of the people who care for them the most.

What are you most looking forward to about this upcoming school year? I’m looking forward to seeing our students after a summer apart, and getting to know our new Dragons.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself! I’ve taught near three major of the Gulfs of the United States – the Gulf of Alaska while living in Kodiak, the Gulf of Mexico teaching in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, and now the Gulf of Maine.

Tell us about your family! My children are Jack and Reagan, and my husband is Jesse. Most of our evenings and weekends are spent on the sidelines of the kids’ sporting events. They both love to play soccer and basketball. We lived all around the country for Jesse’s career in the US Coast Guard, and we’ve been back in Maine for 5 years, and have loved every minute of it.

Sweet, salty, or spicy snacks? I like sweet and spicy snacks. While living in the south, I tried cantaloupe, watermelon, and jicama with chamoy and Tajin, and I was hooked!
