Maine Agriculture in the Classroom Grant 2023
China Primary School recently received a grant from Maine Agriculture in the Classroom to purchase indoor raised bed planters with grow lights! The students in Ms. Babson’s class constructed the wooden planters and grew radishes and a variety of greens. Several agriculture related lessons were integrated into the curriculum. During a math lesson, students completed measurement problems to determine how many seeds they could plant in an area, and they finished a plant growth unit during science. They read gardening stories and learned about pollination together. Maine Agriculture in the Classroom grants are funded by the Maine Agricultural Specialty License Plate Fund. #WeAreRSU18 #CPSdragons
